He was the owner of Shimek Dirt Yard in Crosby. He enjoyed hunting and spending time at the deer lease with his friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Misha; two daughters, Amanda and Miranda; son, Jared; his parents, Billy and Lucille Shimek; two sisters, Kerry Michalsky and husband Gary and Laura Shimek; nephew, Cody Michalsky; niece, Kacy Browning; mother and father-in-law, Sherry and Scott Smith and numerous other family members and friends.
