

John was born to Carl and Alta Eversole, January 19, 1943 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He graduated from Pasadena High School in 1962 and attended Robert E. Lee Community College. He married his high school sweetheart, Norma Gillis, on May 31, 1963 and together they raised their family in Deer Park, Texas before retiring to Destin, Florida in 1996.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Norma; daughter, Stephanie Eversole and Alfredo Galvez Morales; son, John Eversole, Jr. and Tonya Eversole; grandsons, Tyler Doc Eversole and Kendall Preston Eversole. He is also survived by siblings, Patsy Dierschke, Bob Eversole, Carolyn Parker and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Alta Eversole and sister, Shirley Eversole.
John had an extensive career in electrical sales before retiring from United Lighting in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. After retirement, he enjoyed and proudly served as The Valencia Condominium HOA Board President. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons swimming in the bay and pool, crabbing and fishing from their pier and entertaining and hosting an annual fish fry for family and friends when they visited Destin. John never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and friends. He shared a lot of laughs with special friend and neighbor, Jeff.
