John Travis Fanning

John T. Fanning 52, of Baytown, TX, went to be with his Lord on Nov. 5, 2011. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. John described himself in one word “rebel.” John lived his life on his own terms. He was born in Kansas City, MO, moved to Texas with his parents in 1976, and became in all sense of the word “Texan.” He graduated from Sterling High School. He joined the Army and served our country for four years. John was a very talented man who could build or repair anything. He was loved.

He was preceded in death by his mother Suella Fanning, and niece Lisa Beatty.

He is survived by his father, Kyle L. Fanning; sister, Dianna Ellis and husband Johnny; brothers, Dennis Fanning and his wife Karen, Richard Fanning and his wife Diane; nephews, Michael, Jason, Robin, Casey, Dennis and Timothy Fanning; niece, Stacey Galle and numerous grand nephews and nieces, in addition to numerous family and friends.

Family will receive friends on November 10, 2011.

The family wishes to express our gratitude to all those who have helped us get through this most difficult time.
