John T. Winemiller Sr.

John T. Winemiller Sr., 79, of Baytown was born June 28, 1929 in Fairmont, WV and passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 at his home. He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army veteran. He retired from U. S. Steel with 31 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alma Winemiller and 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Elsie Winemiller and son and daughter-in-law, John Jr. and Donna Winemiller, all of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and George Brantch Jr. of Columbus, OH; sister, Marlen Thompson of Sandyville, OH; grandchildren, Lisa, Chastity, Stacy, Amanda and Jeremy; and great grandchildren, Michael, Alec, Mark, Peyton, Emma, Jace and Avery.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. John Marlar and Rev. Paul Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Winemiller Jr., Jeremy Winemiller, Leslie Newman, Richard Ledger, Tom Cantor and Kirby Ball. Honorary pallbearer will be George Brantch Jr.
