Jonathan Hunter Davis, also affectionately known as Monkey or Bubbie to his family, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Crowley, Louisiana. He was born on June 17, 2008, in Baytown, Texas, to Justin Dewayne and Heather Gail Alexander Davis. Hunter was a proud graduate of Goose Creek Memorial High School in Baytown, class of 2025. He went on to get his certification as a welder from Southern Arc Welding in March of 2026.
Hunter was all boy and pursued many interests, some of which included his love for his truck, playing video games, working on vehicles with his dad, music and guns. He also enjoyed fishing and could often be found out on the water in the boat his dad gave him when he was 16. Hunter had a big heart, and loved being outdoors in nature where he could admire different animals. He was an amazing cook and enjoyed all foods as he was a true foodie at heart. Hunter was a free spirit with a happy soul. He was a jokster and found joy out of making others laugh. Even if they didn’t realize they were laughing at their own expense. Hunter was full of life and his presence naturally lit up any room he was in. Above all, his greatest joy came from the precious time spent with his family, especially his sister Aubree who was his best friend. They would regularly get into mischief together until Mom and Dad caught on to what they were up to.
Hunter was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Risa Alexander Hartzog; his paternal grandfather Robert Davis; his paternal great grandparents Brenda and Elza Brasher; and his maternal great grandparents Helen and Jim Alexander. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his parents Heather and Justin; his sister Aubree Davis and fiancé Alex; his nieces Korah and Everlie Walker; his nephew Tanner Walker; his maternal grandfather Bill Alexander; his paternal grandparents Ann and Fritz Langley; his maternal great-grandfather Jim Gerace; his aunts and uncles Emmalee and Bryan Mills, Brandi Langley and fiancé Scott, and Farah and Ronnie Meredith; and his cousins Logan Langley, Bryan and Dylan Mills, Rylan Jackson, and Addy and Emma Meredith; and God Mother Traycee Thompson along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
