Jonnie Brandon

Jonnie was born April 12, 1933 in Gaylor Bend, OK. She was raised in Muskogee, OK where she graduated from Central High School in 1951 and was employed by Selective Investments Corp. She met her husband Carl in 1956 and they were married in 1957 and moved to Houston. After a few years, they settled in Wichita Falls, where they started their family. Carl Jr. was born in Houston in 1961 and Curtis Wayne was born in 1965 in Wichita Falls. After twelve years, they moved to Baytown. Jonnie worked as Insurance Clerk and Cashier for Gulf Coast Hospital, later working for Dr. J. A. Bishop until his retirement and then Dr. Greg Terry. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Baytown.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings and is survived by her husband, Carl W. Brandon of Baytown; sons and daughter-in-law, Carl W. ""Butch"" Brandon Jr. of Baytown and Curtis Wayne and Stacy Brandon of Beach City; five grandchildren who were her life, Christopher W., Roxanne, Chase, Ralston and Courtney Paige Brandon; and special friends, Vernon and Wilma Hayes, Mike and Pam Shirley and Rev. Jerry Lyons, all of Baytown.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Lyons officiating. At her request, her body will be cremated afterwards.

Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Hayes, Mike Shirley, Ken Pantin, Ken Frazier, Terry Valmain, Christopher W. Brandon, Sam Thomas and Porter Flewellen.
