Mr. Alvarez was born August 27, 1973 in Cotija de la Paz, Michoacán, Mexico to Salvador and Elisa Alvarez.
After moving to Baytown, Texas with his family and living there during his formative years, he would eventually go on to attend Robert E. Lee High School and then later pursue a career in Process Technology. He worked at Protherm as an insulator before he was employed at Ethyl and Albemarle where he worked as a top operator in FCC and logistics for over 20 years.
He was beloved by family and friends alike for his larger than life presence and the kindness that he showed to all. Regardless of whether he was hunting at the deer lease, shooting targets at the gun range, out fishing, or fixing anything from tractors to ATV’s and everything else in-between, he was always a joy to be around.
Jose Ramon Alvarez is preceded in death by his mother, Elisa Garibay Alvarez.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Maria Alvarez; their son, Joseph Alvarez and daughter, Samantha Alvarez; father, Salvador Alvarez; brothers and their spouses Salvador Alvarez Jr. and Terri Alvarez and Carlos Alvarez and Faby Alvarez; and several nephews and nieces.
