

Jose L. Sanchez, 62, of Baytown, Texas, passed away November 7, 2020. He was born in Doctor Arroyo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on August 7, 1958 to Arnoldo Sanchez and Maria Luisa Galvan. For 36 years, he was married to Leonor Sanchez. Jose worked in the oil and gas industry at the Exxon Mobil BOP facility for 32 years, as an insulator and mechanic for Brock Industries. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Guadalupana Altar Society.
His pride and joy were his two children and wife. As a loving and supportive father, he was his children’s number one fan, always in attendance and cheering at their sport events, concerts, competitions, momentous occasions, and trips, even if they were out of state. With the love of his life, they epitomized the American dream building a life for themselves. His dogs Princess, Chloe, and Ari, were also always with him even when he traveled to Canada or Mexico. To his family, he was their everything.
In addition to being a loving husband and father, Jose L. Sanchez was known for his sense of humor, great stories, travels, love of music, and love of great food. Jose loved to watch his Astros, Texans, and Rockets play. With his family, he loved to travel and visit new places. Last year, he and his family travelled to London to see the Houston Texans take on the Jaguars. After watching his Texans win, he and his wife celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in Paris, France. Among his travels, New York City was his favorite.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Guadalupe and Eudelia Sanchez; Romualdo and Francisca Galvan; his mother Maria Luisa Galvan; and his brother Efrain Palomo.
He is survived by Wife Leonor Sanchez; Daughter Dinorah Giselle Sanchez; Son Nelson Abraham Sanchez; Siblings, Francisco Palomo, Olegario Palomo, Josefina Palomo, Rosa Palomo, Dora Palomo, Carmen Palomo, and Amador Palomo.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5 pm to 8 pm with a rosary/vigil service at 7 pm, on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Navarre Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am, Friday, November 13, 2020, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment following at Memory Gardens in Baytown.
