Jose "Oscar" Vasquez, 59, of Highlands, Texas, went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2019 he was surrounded by his family. He was born in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas on March 7, 1960 to Estanislao & Macaria Vasquez. He met his wife, Rosa Alma Vasquez in their home town of Valle Hermoso. Two years later he married the love of his life on December 26, 1979. He moved his family to Baytown, Tx at the early age of 20yrs old where he planted his roots to raise his family. Jose was employed by Turner Industries at the Shell Deer Park refinery for over half his life. He made many of friends over the years at Shell, some were such good friends that we consider them family. Jose was very well know for his big heart. He was always there for you when you called him, no matter what he was doing. Jose loved to dance with his wife and daughter as well as sing songs with his son, Oscar while at the family BBQ's, birthday parties, Easter Sunday Fish Fries, not to mention many other family celebrations such as Anniversaries, Weddings and Quinceanera's. He was very proud of Allen and how he has advanced in his career; he bragged to everyone about his son's cooking skills. Jose had a passion for his family and enjoyed spending his free time with his grandchildren and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister Yolanda Vasquez De La Garza and his father Estanislao Vasquez.
He is survived by his loving wife Rosa Alma Vasquez, his three children Linda, Allen, Oscar Vasquez and his wife Alicia. He loved his grandchildren Oscar, Jocelyn, Julian and Owen with all his heart. He will be dearly missed by his mother Macaria Vasquez. He will forever be missed by his brothers and sisters Rebecca, Lucila, Estanislao, Minerva, Carolina, Oralia, Ignacio and Amparo. He will be missed by each and every family member as well as his many friends.
