Joseph Gary ""Joe Elkins

Joseph Gary ""Joe"" Elkins, 46, of Baytown was born June 7, 1967, in Baytown and passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in a local hospital. He was a 1985 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and attended Texas A and M University. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, William ""Bill"" Elkins. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Elkins of Baytown; brothers, John G. Elkins of Houston and James G. Elkins of Amarillo; niece and nephews, Emma Glen Elkins, Avery Fisher Elkins, and John Andrew Elkins; and numerous friends.

His family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Jirrels officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Reuter, Bruce Hudgins, Phillip Benskin, Allen Russell, John Sherman, James Sample, and Wiley Gardner. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Creel and Tim Swords.
