Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He had a career in timekeeping with Brown & Root. He was a member of the Bayou Lacombe Masonic Lodge and the deacons of Wooster Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and just spending time in nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Henderson, his wife Lynda Frances Henderson, and great granddaughter Theodora Wilde (Teddy) Yax.
He is survived by his son Joseph S. (Joey) Henderson, III and wife Tisha, daughter Jodi Lyn Yax-Frost and husband Jack, daughter Julie Ann Williams and husband Steve, daughter Joy Frances Henderson and fiance Steve McElroy, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and by his dog, Dixie.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm, Friday, October 6, 2023 at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521.
