Joyce was born in Houston, Texas and spent most of her life in Baytown, Pelly, and Cedar Bayou.
She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1964, where she taught 8-9 yr olds in Sunday School and served in Vacation Bible School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Powe; her daughter, Betty White; her parents, James L. Irby and Myrtle Irby Wells; and her sisters, Louise Irby Sowders and Rebecca Carney.
She is survived by Earnest White's family, Wayne White's family and Joe Moody's family.
Joyce loved collecting bells and angels, working word puzzles, and especially spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and their extended family of Bro. Paul Cleveland, Sr.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521, on April 1, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521, on April 1, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
