Joyce Wood, 88, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on August 31, 2022. She was born in Gonzales, Texas on September 8, 1933, to George and Leona Harvey. She was married to Melvin Wood for 70 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and family gatherings.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Leona Happner; father, George Harvey; husband, Melvin Wood; brothers, Charles Harvey and Douglas Hunter; and sister Darlene Harvey.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Hunter; sisters, Waunette Buehler and Gayle Newcomb; son, Michael Wood; daughters, Eva Clayton and Kimberly Price; grandsons, Don Clayton, Cody Clayton, Christopher Cornelius, Gauge Guerrero and Abel Guerrero; great grandchildren, Catie Clayton, Kinley Clayton, Jackson Clayton, Malachi Clayton, Celene Cornelius and Cillian Cornelius.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 1:30 PM at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.
