Juanita Ruby Daniel

Juanita R. Daniel, 94 of Baytown, Texas went to be with her Heavenly Father Friday, January 15, 2016. She was born October 30, 1921 in Gilmer, Texas. Juanita was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church which she faithfully served for some fifty-six (56) years. A true believer and servant of her Lord, she was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great, Great Grandmother, and friend to countless numbers over the years. Her closest and most intimate friends, (most of whom preceded her in death) spent endless hours visiting, eating, and playing cards, Uno being their favorite. She loved her Lord, her family, life, people, and never met a stranger. Her humor, energy, wit, and love will be missed by so many.

Preceded in death by her husband, L. R. “Dan” Daniel, she is survived by sons Bill Daniel and wife Pat, Jim Daniel and wife Glenda; daughter Sally Shafer and husband Richard; stepdaughter Mary Alice “Butch” Lonidier and husband Lonnie, stepson Eldon “Danny” Daniel; grandsons Johnny Shafer, Toby Daniel and wife Samantha, Jody Shafer and Monty Manning, and Jeremy Daniel , step grandsons Ernest Love and wife Heidi, Tyler Ericson and wife Shanna; granddaughter Kelli Barnett and husband Rusty, step granddaughter Anita Thompson and husband Ed; great grandsons Josh Shafer and wife Mandy, Holden Daniel and Joe Vavra; great granddaughters Ashley Conway and husband Matt, Taylor Daniel, Bailey Daniel, Mia Daniel, Isabella Daniel, Jenna Daniel, and Korbyn Barnett; and great, great granddaughter Hallie Faye Shafer.

Visitation will be Monday evening, January 18th from 5PM – 8PM at Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown and funeral services Tuesday, January 19th 1PM at Cedar Bayou Baptist Church in Baytown. Burial will be at Memory Gardens in Baytown.

We especially want to thank her longtime caregivers Diana Acosta, Peggy Armbrister, and all the staff at Remington Park for their kindness.
