Judy Linscott

A proud graduate of Robert E Lee High School, Class of 1956, Judy stepped into adulthood with a bright spirit and a steady sense of purpose. In 1957, she married Stephen McCray Linscott, and in 1960 they welcomed their daughter, Stephanie—one of the great joys of her life.

After attending nursing school in Austin for a year, Judy returned to Baytown and put her caring nature to work with local pediatricians. In the everyday, often quiet ways that matter most, she offered comfort and steadiness to families and children, bringing a lively presence and capable hands to those who needed them.

Judy’s days were filled with the kinds of pleasures that kept her world wide and her calendar happily full. An avid golfer who loved to travel and play, she carried her energy from course to course with a zest that was unmistakably her own. She was also a passionate bridge player, and above all, a faithful friend—someone whose warmth and constancy made life better simply by being in it.

Her generous spirit extended well beyond her own circle. Judy volunteered at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital and stayed actively involved in the Pilot Club of Baytown, the Wooster Garden Club, Bunko, and many others. Wherever she showed up, she brought a vibrant spark—an easy willingness to join in, lend a hand, and make room for others.
