

Juene Wier, 84, of Baytown was born August 3, 1929 in Baytown and passed away Monday, January 27, 2014, at her home. She retired from the Goose Creek School District, where she taught 2nd grade at Stephen F. Austin Elementary for most of her career. After retiring, she went back to the Goose Creek School District where she tested students for the Dyslexia Program. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Southern Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Warner ""Wop"" Wier; parents, Ernest and Pearl Muller; brother, Joe B. Muller; sister, Elisabeth Ernestine Treadway; granddaughter, Jackie Lee Kilpatrick; and son-in-law, Ron Chisholm. She is survived by her sons, Jim Wier of Dayton and Paul Wier of Baytown; daughter, Denise Chisholm of Tyler; sister and brother-in-law, Ossie and Davis Brown of Baytown; grandson and spouse, Kevin and Jennifer Kilpatrick of Burnet; and great grandchildren, Jackalynn and Ryker Kilpatrick.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, January 31, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Wuerch officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.
Serving as pallbearers will be Reggie Ethridge, Don Hughes, Max Hughes, Gary Hughes, Buddy Hughes, and Tim Treadway.
