Karen Foye Lockett

She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown and continued her education at The University of Houston. Karen worked for Goose Creek ISD for 25 years at both Baytown Jr. High and Gentry Jr. High. She was also a long time member of Wooster Baptist Church.

Karen loved to travel, played the piano, was a voracious reader, and doted on her nephew, niece, and 5 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Loree Gieger of Baytown.

Surviving relatives are: her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Vince Cooper of La Porte, her son, Keith Lockett of Baytown, her grandchildren, Joshua Standford of Pasadena, Jeremi Standford of Galveston, Jacob and Jaden Cooper of La Porte, and Trace Lockett of Baytown, her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Wayne Orlowski of Austin, nephew and his wife, Glen and Leslie Ginzel of Humble, niece and her husband, Elizabeth and Gordon Stevens of Fort Worth and also a host of friends.

Her family would also like to thank her caregivers: Jana Register-Nelson, Janet Hite, Shelly Guerra, Rabi Joseph, Sharonell Jones, Nancy Alvarez, Sharon Alexis, and Lisa Barnett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Diabetes Foundation or the Renal Foundation.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Earthman Funeral Home 3919 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jason Shuttlesworth of Wooster Baptist Church officiating.

Graveside Service and Interment will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park 14659 East Fwy. Houston, TX.

Pallbearers will be: Vince Cooper, Larry Lockett, Wayne Orlowski, Glen Ginzel, Joshua Standford, and Jeremi Standford.
