DEAR MOORE FAMILY,
JUST A NOTE TO CLARIFY THE DATES OF KAY AND JIMMY'S MEETING AND MARRIAGE. I INCORRECTLY TYPED THAT THEY MET SOMETIME IN 1977 OR 1978; WHEN THE YEARS WERE REALLY 1967-1968. THEY MARRIED IN 1968 AND WERE MARRIED FOR 47 WONDERFUL YEARS. THEY HAD TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, BECKY AND MIKE AND A BEAUTIFUL LIFE TOGETHER. OUR BLESSINGS TO YOU BOTH. OUR LOVE FOREVER, ELAINE AND FLOYD RHODES

DEAREST KAY,
I AM TRYING TO REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME WE MET AS NEIGHBORS ON SHERIDAN DR. WE MOVED THERE IN JUNE 1964, CARA WAS 7 MONTHS OLD AND THEN BRYANT WAS BORN IN AUG. 1966. IT JUST SEEMED INEVITABLE THAT WE BECAME FRIENDS WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, AS WE LIVED JUST ACROSS THE STREET. BEING NEW PARENTS, WE SOMETIMES NEEDED A BABY SITTER AND YOU WERE THE PERFECT ONE!!!! CARA JUST ADORED YOU AND FLOYD AND I DID TOO!!!!

SOMETIME IN '77-'78, YOU MET JIMMY AND FELL HEAD OVER HEALS IN LOVE. AFTER GRADUATION, YOU AND JIMMY MARRIED AND MOVED AWAY, AS HE WAS IN THE NAVY.
WE WERE SO HAPPY FOR YOU, BUT ALSO SAD NOT TO SEE YOU EVERY DAY AS WE HAD BEEN DOING FOR SEVERAL YEARS. OUR TIMES TOGETHER WERE VERY SPECIAL; AS I WAS ONLY SIX YEARS OLDER, WE HAD A LOT IN COMMON, TALKING ABOUT MARRIED LIFE, BABIES, AND LIFE ITSELF.
WE MOVED TO LIBERTY, TX. IN 1971, BUT I STILL VISITED YOU MOTHER AT THE CLEANERS AND DID SOME SEWING FOR HER. FLOYD AND I WERE SOOO SAD WHEN SHE AND YOUR DAD PASSED AWAY. I AM SO GLAD WE KEPT UP OUR FRIENDSHIP WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, THROUGH ALL THESE YEARS.
I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU AND ROBERT AT OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY, WHAT A WONDERFUL SURPRISE. WE DIDN'T GET TO TALK AND VISIT VERY MUCH AS THERE WERE SO MANY GOOD FRIENDS ATTENDING AND NOT ENOUGH TIME. THANK YOU FOR COMING!!!!
WELL, GOOD FRIEND, IT WAS WONDERFUL HAVING YOU IN OUR LIFE AND I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER LOOKING OUT MY KITCHEN WINDOW AND SEEING YOU WALKING OVER FOR A VISIT. WHAT A BLESSING YOU WERE TO US!!!!!
ALL OUR LOVE, PRAYERS AND TEARS, ELAINE AND FLOYD RHODES

Kay, you were the best babysitter ever. You always let me do just about anything I wanted, including sitting in your lap and steering the car down Sheridan Drive. My favorite thing was going with you to Baskin Robbins for ice cream. I am so glad we were able to get back together one last time two years ago after not seeing each other for so many years. Rest in peace , my friend, and give Jimmy, your mom, and your dad a big hug for me. I will miss you.

To the children of Jimmy and Kay Stubblefield. Becky and Mike, I was never around when you were children but I am Teresa's elder sister. I did get to meet your parents at different times after you were grown and they came to Arkansas to visit.
Not knowing them but a little bit, still they were great company and loving souls it will seem strange for a long time knowing I cannot come out to your aunt & uncle Alton's place to see your parents but in the same breath I'm glad they don't have the painful bodies any more. To our sadness we can be happy for that. Love and Prayers, Debra

Becky I love You!!! Your mom always treated me like her own. Even when you were grounded she let me stay the night. She loved you and your brother so much! Lots of great memories in that house.
Love you so much!

Kay is my eldest sister in law and although we lived nearly 500 miles apart, we shared a lot of good memories. She was so fun to be around and recently discovered the game of Mexican Dominoes. She was competitive at it and loved the game. She adores her children and loved her husband with all she had in her. I will miss her!!! Our hearts are heavy with loss but joyful that she is at peace, Sending love and deepest sympathy to Mike and Becky Lynn..... Aunt T.
