Keldron E. ""Red"" Stephenson, 90, formerly of League City, passed away on July 6, 2014 at his home in Manvel. Red was born on March 17, 1924 in Hico, Louisiana to the late John Willis and Coile Stephenson. Red proudly served his country in the United Stated Coast Guard. He was a painter and a member of Local 130 in Houston. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially deer, into his mid-80's. He also enjoyed taking a spin on his 4-wheeler, which led to more than one mishap, yet Red was not deterred.
Red is preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Jerlene Stephenson and Lillie Stephenson and all of his siblings. Red is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Christine Stephenson; granddaughter, Kimberley Varner; great grandson, Haize Varner and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown. Mr. Gary Blanchette will officiate.
