

Kenneth Odell Casey, 59 of Highlands, TX passed away at his home on August 5, 2014. Kenny was born on April 2, 1955 in Baytown TX, to Dorothy Evans and Lewis Odell Casey. He grew up in Baytown and graduated from Sterling High School in 1973. He began his career going to work at HL&P as a lineman, and then to Texas Gulf Sulfur. In 1976, Kenny hired on with Mobay/Bayer and finished a 36 year career retiring in March 2012. After his retirement he began taking care of his father in Tarkington until his passing.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Odell Casey. He is survived by his biggest loves, his daughter and son, Ayla Blythe and Clay Evans Casey. His brothers, Donald Wayne Casey and wife Dianna, and James Leland Casey; nieces Keth Casey Lewellyn and husband Jayme, Kadi Casey Abdulla and husband Khan, and nephew Kodi Casey; along with 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
Kenny enjoyed traveling, riding his bike, reading books, and was a history and movie buff loving westerns and The Big Lebowski. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved his deer leases, while teaching many about the woods, safety, knives, and guns. He excelled at skeet shooting. Kenny had an extraordinary ability to tell wonderful, great humorous stories. He had an intense love for his camouflage and denim fashion sense. He loved to cook, owning many specialty dishes. Kenny loved a good debate or just sitting down to draw, and was quite an artist. He was a larger than life gentle man with a huge heart who never met a stranger. He loved and cherished his family and friends. Kenny lived life on his own terms. He was the ""Dude"".
A memorial visitation will be held Monday, August 11, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. A memorial services will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
