

An avid hunter, fisherman and artist, Ken served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He loved creating beautiful paintings for his family and friends and was proud of the Robert E. Lee High School yearbook cover art he created during his senior year in 1945. He was a member of the Baytown Art League.
A loving husband, father and friend, Ken also enjoyed piloting his own airplane for many years and was an active member of First Baptist Church in Baytown. He retired from Baytown’s Exxon Refinery after 40 years of service.
Services for Ken will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Dr. David Bowman and Rev. Tommy Kimble officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Navarre Funeral Home.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janette; children, Victoria Christine Decker, Barney Ross Goodman, Lynn Fields and husband Jack, Steven E. Cerveny and wife Jane, Carol Madden and husband Joe. He is also survived by his sister, Elda Rae Zylks; sisters-in-law, Betty Goodman, Bessie Lee, Thelma Mercer, Bertie Kinsey and husband Bill, Wilma Graham, Brenda Dugas and husband Paul, and Mary Kuykendall and husband Bud; and a brother-in-law, Jack Duke and wife Ann.
He also leaves eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott Goodman, his mother, Mabel Goodman, brothers Eugene Goodman and Paul Goodman, and son-in-law, Thomas Decker.
Memorials can be made in Ken’s name to the building fund at First Baptist Church, 505 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521.
