Kerry graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School in 1972 and received an Associate of Arts degree from Lee College and continued his education at Texas State University formerly known at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 1977 and later received a third degree in Drafting from Lee College. After college he went to work for US Steel Corporation in Baytown, Texas and worked there until 1982 when they closed the plant. He continued his working career with various petroleum industry companies as an Electrical Designer.
Kerry had a passion for music, classic southern rock, blues, and Texas country. He was an avid reader, enjoyed hunting, coin collecting, and especially riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Kerry is preceded in death by his father James S. Laramore, his mother Melba J. Laramore, and his brother James A. Laramore. He is survived by his wife Terri Hanson Laramore; son James L. Laramore (Cayla) of Liberty, son Ty Laramore (Katie) of Houston; grandchildren Caleb Laramore, Madison Laramore, Corban Stewart, Charity Stewart; nieces Carla Eppler (Gary) and family of Baytown, Texas, Trisha Smith and family, Christi Downs (Mark) and family of Baytown, Texas; nephew Rocky Licari (Tammy) and family of Trinity, Texas.
