

Kurt Michael Baumbach, 28, passed away on August 17, 2026 in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Born on April 25, 1998, in Baytown, Texas, Kurt was a sweet, quiet and gentle soul. He was shy around others and had the most caring eyes and gentle smile. He had a passion for cooking, gaming and going to the movies. He was a foodie with a love for sushi and pho and avid coffee drinker.
Kurt’s legacy of love will be carried forward by his blended family. He is survived by his father, Lee “Kenny” Kenneth (and wife Lisa) Baumbach and his mother, Cassie Lynn (and husband Ryan) Qualls. He also leaves behind step-brothers Collin Taylor, Caden Taylor, Cameron Qualls, and Hunter Qualls; grandparents Kay Raley, Butch and Beverly Baumbach, Michael and Mary Cannon; as well as great-grandmother (MawMaw) Betty Kenney. Kurt also leaves behind his Aunt Kara and Uncle Russell Traylor, cousins, Kaylen and Gable VanHuss, Rhett Traylor; Uncle Michael and Aunt Jennifer Cannon; Aunt Lori and Uncle Bobby Walsh and young cousins who adored him, Caroline and Ava Walsh.
Kurt is preceded in death by his grandfather Len Raley, great-grandfather (PawPaw) Edward Kenney, and great-grandparents, Frank and Carolyn Fullbright, George Cannon, and Norma Trunnell.
Kurt’s life may have been far too short, but the imprint he left on the hearts of those who loved him will never fade.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kurt’s name to charity of your choice.
