We are gathered to celebrate the life of Lacy Lou Bryant who left us to be with the Lord on November 30, 2013. She was born Lacy Lou Pedigo on July 20, 1928 in the small Cajun town of Crowley Louisiana. She was the oldest of five siblings; brothers, Robert and James; sisters, Margie and Shirley. She met the love of her life Sterling Bryant at the tender age of 18 and the married on January 18, 1949. Lacy's love continued as she gave birth to three sons, Sterling also lovingly called Butch, David who was frequently called DD, and Mark nicknamed Bullet. Lacy loved her boys and they were her pride and joy. Lacy had six grandchildren, Joey, Katie, Mindy, Michelle, Leslie, and Miranda; and ten great grandchildren. Lacy and Serling had many adventures, her a homemaker, busy with the three boys and him working hard in the oil field. After many moves they made Baytown their permanent home for 53 years.
Lacy was a loving, compassionate, full of life and fun. She loved to research family ancestry and was an active member in the Baytown Genealogy Club, where she held the office of Treasurer. She was also a member in the Baytown Genealogy Club, a member of the Pasadena Geneology Club where she received her certificate for The Daughters of The American Revolutionary War. Through her avid research she opened the door for her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren to qualify for Certification as The First Families of America.
Lacy was always smiling and having fun, she loved spending time with her treasured friends in the "Red Hat" club. She would gather with friends and family sporting her red hat and matching red lipstick and rouge.
She loved antiques, live music, dancing, car shows, and keeping up with loved ones of Facebook. Nothing slowed her down and she lived life to the fullest.
We are grateful for her dedication, laughter and love. She will be greatly missed but will live on forever in our memories and our hearts.
