Lavonne “Bonnie” Dyer, 87, passed away August 19 at her home with family by her side. Bonnie was born February 28, 1934 to Ross Vernon Degree and Norma Marie Sanders Degree in Conroe TX. Bonnie is proceeding in death by her parents, sisters Bobbie Jo Crump and Sandra Lynn Fonteno and great grandson Lance Corbin.
Bonnie retired after 28 years of service with the City of Mt. Belvieu as the Municipal Court Clerk at the ripe old age of 80. She was member of Faith Presbyterian Church for over 65 years. Bonnie enjoyed playing 42, working crossword puzzles, shopping, Friday nights at Luna’s with the Presbee’s, working at the Thrift store and in the kitchen at the church and playing Bunko with her favorite Monday night ladies. Bonnie was known for always smiling and her famous Banana pudding. She was the best Ms. Bonnie to great grandsons - Caleb who she kept supplied with Kit Kats and $ bills and she could light up a room when Cole came to visit.
Bonnie is survived by daughter and son in law - Rhonda and Mark Hartley, granddaughters Paige Hartley Glover and husband Blake Glover and Kristin Hartley, Great grandchildren Maryiah Corbin, Caleb Glover and Cole Glover. Special nieces and their husbands Sonya and Mason Appel and Jo Ann and Doug Creamer. 8 Great nieces and nephews and 10 great, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 23, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 24, at 11:00AM at Faith Presbyterian Church in Baytown, Texas. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
