

Mrs. Tucker was born September 17, 1931, in Montgomery, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by Bob, her beloved husband of 50 years; her parents, JM and Bea Woods; her sisters Louise Masters, Ophelia Durham, Wilma Shriner, Dorothy Cherrier; and her brother JM (Sonny) Woods. She is survived by her daughter Donna and husband Bill Ashley of Baytown; daughter Suzanne and husband Tom Meyer of Mount Vernon, Washington; daughter Robyn and husband Steve Watts of Friendswood, Texas; and son Mike Tucker and wife Criss of Friendswood.
Mrs. Tucker, or Nonie as she was affectionally called by her family and closest friends, is also survived by grandchildren Brad and wife Leah Ashley; Geoff Ashley; Britt and husband Erik Holland; Katie Meyer; Mandy Meyer; Mark Meyer; Paige Watts; Braden Watts; Jake Tucker; Cade Tucker; and one great-grandson, Tucker Ashley. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Earlene Woods, numerous nieces and nephews, and best friends George and Sara Watkins.
Lena and Bob were worldwide travelers, having lived in Saudi Arabia for nearly three years, which afforded them the opportunity to travel extensively in Europe and Asia. They also traveled throughout much of the United States.
Mrs. Tucker especially enjoyed Christmas vacations with all of the kids and grandkids to locales including Lake Tahoe, CA., Angel Fire, NM., Washington State, Vancouver and Victoria, Canada., and frequent family excursions to Garner State Park and New Braunfels.
Her favorite pastimes were reading and shopping, but her great love was her family, which often gathered at her house for dinners, slumber parties, and game nights.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Baytown, and a former longtime member of Wooster Baptist Church, Baytown. Mrs. Tucker’s family and her strong faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, sustained her and brought her great joy in the last years of her rich life.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 6, 2005 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2005, at Navarre Chapel, Baytown, with Reverend Mark Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens, Baytown. Pallbearers will be Brad Ashley, Geoff Ashley, Mark Meyer, Jake Tucker, Adam Sargent, and George Watkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Braden Watts, Cade Tucker, and Erik Holland.
