Liddie Pauline Fowler

Liddie Pauline Fowler, 89, of Baytown, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2006 in a local hospital. She was born January 6, 1917, in Lufkin, Texas and was known by her family and friends as “Polly”. The family moved to Baytown in 1933. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church for many years and delighted in caring for the young children and babies in the church nursery. For the past year she has been a resident of the Happy Harbor Methodist Home in La Porte, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James M. and Cassie Bell Selman, and sisters, Mildred Faye Patterson and Eva Maurine Selman.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Willie Lee Fowler, of Baytown; daughter, Billie Ruth Hinze; grandchildren, David Richard Hinze and James Adam Hinze of Cypress, Texas and Sonya Hinze Harrison of Alpharetta, Georgia; five great grandchildren, Hailey, Adam and Alicia Hinze, and Sarah and William Harrison; nieces, Patricia Ann Hensley, Barbara Sue Long, Maurine Patterson; nephews, Melvin Eddie Patterson and Jessie Milton Young; cousins, Pauline Krocker and Debbie Flowers.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Jay Wash. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
