Lillian "Lil" Ruth Looper Moorhead

She was born in Alexandria La. On March 18, 1940 to Elvida Wallace Looper and Alton Looper.

Lil grew up in Bentley, La. She married Allen L Moorhead on January 12, 1973 and they remained ministry partners for life. Lil accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior in 1979.

She and Allen joined Maranatha Church in 1980. In 1982 the two of them and another Couple started “Wheels for Jesus” a motorcycle ministry and home Bible study meetings. One of the things she enjoyed was taking pictures at events and meetings, making collages and covering their walls. Everyone enjoyed looking at the pictures hunting for people they knew or perhaps themselves. They added a Prison and Jail Ministry in 1986, doing Bible studies and services in many Texas prisons and jails. Lil and Allen began Eagle Ministries Inc. in 1991. Lil began “Lil’s Friends” a ladies Bible study in 1997 and continued it until 2013 when a stroke disabled her and she was unable to continue. She still called and prayed for many throughout the rest of her days. It is impossible to put in writing the many hundreds of lives she has touched with her wisdom, comfort and love in the name of Christ her Lord.

Lil was preceded in death by her beloved mother Elvida, her father Alton & step dad Sam Como and many aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Allen, 2 step brothers Paul and Leroy Como, one aunt Viola King and numerous cousins and friends.

Her viewing and visitation will be held at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., in Baytown, Tx. 77521, from 5 till 7 PM, Thursday, September 9, 2021. A graveside service will be held at Lone Pine Cemetery, 119 Lone Pine Rd., in Bentley La. 71407, Monday, September 13, 2021 at 1 PM, Officiated by Pastor and Brother in Christ, David Lancon.
