Lois Elizabeth Robson

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dr. Robert E. ""Bob"" Robson, parents, John and Edith Offermann as well as her brother, Kenneth C. Offermann and an uncle, Leroy Larson.

At an early age, Lois and her family moved to Crosby and then to Baytown where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Lee College. She began working for Humble Oil Company and later with her husband's optometric practice. After the birth of her son she would stay home as a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 50 year member of Eastern Star, Goose Creek Chapter #798, and the Pilot Club.

Mrs. Robson is survived by her son, Edward Robson of Beach City; sister-in-law, Betty Offerman of Austin; nieces and nephews, Douglas Offermann and his wife Cindy of Baytown, John Miller and his wife Lynn and their son Maclin of Austin, Robert Hargrave and his wife Jan of Houston, Norman Hargrave and his wife Tina and their daughter, Grace of Baytown, Kathy De La Vergne and her husband Hugues and their children of Dallas, Paul Hargrave of Baytown, Mary Marder of Baytown, Robert and Alex Marder of Baytown, Bill Richardson of Houston, Donnie and Corrine Richardson of Houston; cousins, Jack and Neoma Stamm of Davenport, Iowa as well as numerous friends and loving family members who will miss her deeply.

The family would like to thank Lois' caretakers, Cecilia Simon and Mable McKnight.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 30, 2009 at St, Mark's United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Proctor officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the funeral home.
