Lonnie Dale Dunlap Jr.

Lonnie Dunlap passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by loved ones on October 26, 2018. He was born in Pasadena, Texas on March 23, 1976. He resided in Mont Belvieu, Texas with his loving wife of fifteen years, Ashley and their children. He fought a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) for three long years. Lonnie enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family and friends. He was an avid Houston sports fan, especially of the Houston Rockets. One of Lonnie’s greatest passions was fishing. So much so, he went on to get his Captain’s license and created his own guide service, Dirty Bay Adventures. He was an Operator at Vopak, Deer Park for twelve years and a member of their Emergency Response Team. Lonnie was a proud husband and father and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his parents Tommy and Betty Morgan and Lonnie and Karen Dunlap; his wife Ashley and his children Cody, Karley and Kelby Dunlap; his siblings Brandon Dunlap, Caleb and KK Morgan, Monte and Elissa Campbell, Kerry Campbell-Johnston, Koren Campbell, Michael and Kaylie Tobey, and nineteen nieces and nephews; Grandfather Thomas Morgan. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and friends, including his best friend and fishing buddy, Mark Hartley. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 5:00-8:00pm in the Chapel of Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521. A Funeral Service will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Mercy Gate Church, 9627 Eagle Drive, Mont Belvieu, TX 77523.
