Lottie Gertrude Sheffield

Lottie Gertrude Sheffield, 78, of Baytown, TX was born September 27, 1927 in Eastgate and passed away Saturday, January 21, 2006 in a local hospital. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church, where she served as the Financial Secretary for 50 years and as a nursery worker for 35.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Dr. E. Richard Steel, Dr. Mark Broussard, and Brother Tomas Medrano officiating. Burial will follow at Hill of Rest Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Leon McNulty, Albert McMullen, E. L. McCagg, Gordon Ashwood, Kenneth Smith, and Leon Potts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Lewis and Leona Willis Sheffield and sisters, Sophia Mae Allen and Billie McDonald and is survived by her niece and best friend, Virginia Hamilton of Marlin and her children, Eddie and Peggy Hamilton of Marlin and their children, Eddie, Courtney, Allyson and Alex Hamilton, all of West and Chris and Kayla Hamilton of Marlin and Rebecca and Curtis Woolever and their children Tina, Clay, Billie, Gavin and Jasmine, and Kali Woolever, all of Hempstead; nephew and wife, Morris and Linda Allen of Valley Mills and their children, Duane Morris of Valley Mills, Amy Moore of Crosby, Rusty Allen of Dallas, and Patricia Allen of Crosby; nephew, Dwain Norris of New Caney; God given children, Tommy and Charlotte Morris of Baytown and their sons and daughters-in-law, Chad and Jana Morris of Austin and Trevor and Kristy Morris and their children, Mallory and Marshall Morris, all of Baytown; daughters by choice, Debbie Reading of Highlands, Tara Dickson, Diane Saunders, and Theresa Kirkland, all of Baytown; beloved brothers, sisters, and children in Christ, Tomas and Mary Medrano, Elizabeth Medrano, and Miriam Medrano; and special friends, Mary Mohr and Sue Hawkins, both of Baytown.
