Lou Venia ""Robb Robberson

Lou Venia “Robb” Robberson, 89, of Baytown, TX was born July 27, 1916 in Galveston and passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at her home. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, where she was active until she became ill. She was a member of the Baytown chapter of T.O.P.S. and was a past Democratic Precinct #101 Judge and was a 1934 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School.

At the age of 11, she moved to Pelly with her family. She helped her husband in the hay fields by raking hay.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Joe Tate officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Dossat, Jimmy Beckham, Pete Enderli, Norman Anderson, Sammy Hotchkiss, and Ryan Hotchkiss.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, S. V. “Lightin” Robberson and brother, Tom Ellender and leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Pat Robberson of Baytown; daughters and sons-in-law, Della and Roy Dossat of Charleston, SC and Carol and Lynn Rhoudes of Baytown; brother and sister-in-law, John and Peggy Ellender of Crosby; grandchildren, Letitia Hinton, Diana Beckham, Veronica Sexton, Valerie Blickhan, Travis Dossat, and Tracey Brooks; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to thank to the staff of Swan Manor, Faith Community Hospice, and Dr. Daniel Nyguen.
