

L.G. McDaniel, better known as “Mac”, was born to Henry and Ruby McDaniel; June 23,1938 in Richland Springs, Texas. His family moved to Baytown as a young boy. Mac attended Galena Park High School where he met the love of his life, Ima Jewel Blanton. They married June 8, 1957.
Three months later he enlisted in the army where he proudly served two years. Afterwards he proudly served four years for the National Guard of Houston. From 1959 to 1963 he worked for Houston Shell and Concrete of Pasadena, Texas. He then became employed at Screen Servicing of Houston, where he and the family were transferred to California and then to Ohio. He and the family returned to Jacinto City in 1967, where he worked for Southland Paper Mill for 28 years. He retired in 1995 as a shift manager. In 1977, Mac moved the family to Crosby, where they call home today. In 1998 Mac opened Houston Motor Trike. He built and serviced many trikes and bike until 2009.
Mac and Ima loved riding their Gold Wing. They traveled to all 48 lower states, as well as Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada. Mac shared his love of the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.
Mac is survived by his wife of 67 years Ima Jewel, son Duane and wife Dianna McDaniel of Crosby; daughter Duwana and husband James (Buddy) Gajewski of Cat Spring and daughter Deborah and husband Ken McGrath of Newton; grandchildren Jared and wife Lindsey McDaniel of Crosby; Chelsie and husband Daniel of Crosby; Dana Neu of Sealy, David and wife Charci Balinski of Cleveland, Crystal and husband William Wilkinson of Menard, Bryan and wife Lana McGrath of Newton; great grandchildren Carter, Kylie, Avery, Ella, Jeffery, Cadie, Seth, Bryce, Griffin, Brody, Elaina, Reagan, and Brynlee; brother, Gayhardt (Ted) McDaniel of Tomball; sister-in-law Sharon McDaniel of California; and a host of niece’s, nephew’s and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Henry McDaniel, mother Ruby McDaniel, sister Billie Jean Partin, brother Alvin Wayne McDaniel, and great grandson Elijah (Eli) Wilkinson.
