Manuel pursued many interests, some of which included playing BINGO, BBQing, and attending family gatherings. Family was the most important thing to Manuela. She cherished her grandchildren and was the grandma that never missed one of their baseball games. Manuela always had an open-door policy when her children were growing up. Their friends were always invited to come visit. She was a bonus mom to many, always caring for them and making sure they always had a hot meal.
Manuela was preceded in death by her beloved husband Adam “Goyo” Mendieta; her parents; her son Danny; and her siblings Yolanda Salazar, Gloria DeLeon, Cosme Deleon, Felix DeLeon, Mario DeLeon, Santos DeLeon, and Eugene DeLeon. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her children Adam Mendieta and wife Kaye, and Becky Delagarza and wife Diana; her grandchildren April, Venessa, Vance, Marcus, Rehanna, Dulce, Adam, Jr., Aaron, Nathan, and Brandon; her numerous great-grandchildren; her brothers Christobal DeLeon and Aniseto DeLeon; her many nieces and nephews; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Eloy Garcia, Adrian Garcia, Aaron Stevens, Nathan Mendieta, Adam Mendieta, Jr., and Brandon Mendieta.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, located at 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas, 77521, on November 11, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Rosary will take place at the same location on November 11, 2025, at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for November 12, 2025, at 10:00 am at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home. The Committal Service will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, located at 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas, 77521, on November 12, 2025, at 11:30 am.
