

Margaret was born on March 19, 1924 in Enloe, Texas to parents Artie and Hattie Wright. She graduated from Enloe High School in 1942 and was a fiercely patriotic member of the ""greatest generation."" She married Charles Herbert Mills, Sr. on March 29, 1945 and moved to Baytown, Texas where she made her home for the remainder of her life.
Margaret retired from Associated Credit Services in 1989, after 41 years of service. She was a member of the Baytown Noon Pilot Club before her job transferred her to Houston. She was also a member of Credit Women International. She served as secretary-treasurer of the Town Square Homeowners Association for 35 years
As a member of Grace United Methodist Church, she served as an office volunteer from 1989 – 2010. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law Sandra Mills, and 3 brothers. She is survived by her children, Gayle and Braden Woodall and Charles and Debra Mills. She is also survived by grandsons Reid and John Woodall, cousin Frances Perry and special friends Louise Shorter and Doris Ball.
A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church, 2714 Ferry Rd., Baytown, TX 77520 at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2011 with Rev. Carol Turner officiating.

Margaret was a strong, beautiful and independent woman. We rejoice in her life and the examples she set for us.
