Margery Louise Smith

Margery Louise Smith, 74, passed away on May 1, 2012 in Baytown, Texas. Margery was born July 30, 1937 in Rogers, Texas to Margie and William Wyatt. While pursuing a Bachelors Degree from North Texas State University, she met Robert Frank Smith and the two were married on November 6, 1957. Margery later went on to obtain a Master's Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches where she resided for 49 years.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Dr. Robert Frank Smith and sisters, Linda Doucet and Teresa Honea. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Deana Smith of Baytown, TX; grandsons, Ryan and Robert Smith both of Deer Park, TX; brother, Gerald Wyatt of Plano, TX; aunt, Loyce Reid of Temple, TX; two nieces and two nephews.

Margery was a teacher for many years at both Christ Episcopal Day School and Hudson Elementary. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Nacogdoches, and was active in the Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading, painting, crafts, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place Friday, May 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, TX, with Pastor Jack Womack presiding.
