Maria Barba

Maria Barba, 64, of Beach City was born August 27, 1952, in Guadalajara, Mexico and passed away Friday, September 16, 2016, in Baytown. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Salvador Barba Sr.; father, Cruz Ponce; sister, Esperanza Munoz; and grandson, Isaac Barba. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and George Rodriguez of Baytown; sons and daughters-in-law, Salvador & Laura Barba and Osvaldo and Rachel Barba, all of Beach City; mother, Florentina Munoz of Guadalajara, Mexico; brothers, Jose Ponce of Red Oak and Jesus Ponce of Rockdale; sister, Maria Ambriz of Sacramento, CA; several other brothers and sisters; and grandchildren, Andrew, Tori, Jacob, Presli, Matthew, Ashley, Kimberly, Abigail, and Adrian.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Her funeral mass will be Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Our lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech St., Baytown, TX 77521, with Deacon George Rincon officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Salvador Barba, Osvaldo Barba, George Rodriguez, Andrew Rodriguez, Jose Ponce, and Jesus Ponce.
