Our precious mother, Maria Elena Gracia, 73, was called home by his lord and savior Jesus Christ on March 2, 2021 at Baytown Methodist Hospital. She was the wife of Carlos Gracia. They shared 46 years of marriage together.

Born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, she was the daughter of Luis Gonzalez and Fermina Montellano. She was a member of Iglesia Esperanza Viva. She will be remembered for sewing beautiful dresses, her generosity, her kindness and love for life and her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Adriana Montalvo and husband Francisco, Luis Carlos Gracia and his wife Leticia, and her grandchildren that brightened her world, Orlando (age 16), Christian (age 10), Luca (age 11) and Liam (age 7). Besides her children and grandchildren, Maria Elena is survived by her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews and many other family and friends.

The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Earthman Funeral Home. Church service to be held at 7:00pm. Friends and family are welcome at 10am on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Earthman Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery. Our mom will rest next to our dad.

Due to Covid restrictions, only 80 guests will be allowed inside the funeral home at a time. Please be considerate and allow others to come inside and celebrate our mom’s life. Masks are required. Stop the spread.

Nuestra preciosa madre, María Elena Gracia, de 73 años, fue llamada a casa por su señor y salvador Jesucristo el 2 de marzo de 2021 en el Hospital Baytown Methodist. Ella era la esposa de Carlos Gracia. Compartieron 46 años de matrimonio juntos.

Nacida en Matamoros, Tamaulipas, México, era hija de Luis González y Fermina Montellano. Fue miembro de la Iglesia Esperanza Viva. Será recordada por coser hermosos vestidos, su generosidad, su amabilidad y amor por la vida y por su familia y amigos.

Le sobreviven sus hijos, Adriana Montalvo y su esposo Francisco, Luis Carlos Gracia y su esposa Leticia, y sus nietos que iluminaron su mundo, Orlando (16 años), Christian (10 años), Luca (11 años) y Liam (7 años). Además de sus hijos y nietos, a María Elena le sobreviven sus hermanos, hermanas, sobrinas y sobrinos y muchos otros familiares y amigos.

La familia recibirá a amigos y familiares el miércoles 10 de marzo de 2021 de 5:00 a 8:00 pm en Earthman Funeral Home. El servicio de la iglesia se llevará a cabo a las 7:00 pm. Los amigos y la familia son bienvenidos a las 10 am el jueves 11 de marzo de 2021 en Earthman Funeral Home. El funeral se llevará a cabo a las 11:00 am. Seguirá el entierro en Cedar Crest Cemetery. Nuestra mamá descansará a lado de nuestro papá.

Debido a las restricciones de Covid, solo 80 invitados se permitirán dentro de la funeraria a la vez. Sea considerado y permita que otros entren y celebren la vida de nuestra mamá. Se requieren máscaras. Detén la propagación.
