Maria Guadalupe Torres

Maria Guadalupe Torres Mendoza, aged 62, was welcomed into heaven on 10/16/2017 after a brief struggle with cancer. Maria Guadalupe was married for 45 years to her husband, Eliseo Torres. She is survived by 8 living children, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She adored being a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed a highly social life with close circle of friends and family.

She was a very strong woman of faith and enjoyed recounting stories of God’s presence throughout her life from childhood thru the end of her life here on Earth. Her children were very important to her as evidence of the many sacrifices she endured for the sake of her children’s well-being. She was obedient to our Heavenly Father by setting the foundation of God’s love and presence in their lives. She encouraged many to seek God in everything and to always give Him praise and thanks in every situation. She prayed for everyone in need without ceasing.

She knew and cared about people’s favorite hobbies, foods, interest, etc. She delighted in celebrating birthdays by cooking the celebrant’s favorite foods, especially her children. Her siblings, friends and the church community were also very important to her. Throughout the years, she cultivated a beautiful garden. She looked forward to selling all varieties of flowers and plants at the annual church bazaar and all the proceeds were donated to the church. She was a cheerful and generous giver of her love, talents, time and financial gains. She knew that her treasures were in heaven.

Maria Guadalupe also enjoyed singing and always seemed to have lyrics for every occasion. She sang in her garden claiming the flowers grew better when nurtured. She cheerfully sang and prayed prior to her departure from Earth. She stated she trusted in the Lord’s plan for her. Her strong faith allowed her to enter peacefully unto God’s presence.

Maria Guadalupe will be missed by many. Her optimistic attitude despite life’s challenges were very inspiring to many.

María Guadalupe Torres Mendoza, de 62 años, fue recibida en el cielo el 16/10/2017 después de una breve lucha con el cáncer. María Guadalupe estuvo casada por 45 años con su esposo, Eliseo Torres. Ella tenía 8 hijos vivos, 12 nietos y 5 bisnietos. Adoraba ser madre, suegra, abuela y bisabuela. Disfrutó de una vida altamente social en un círculo cercano de amigos y familiares.

Era una mujer de fe muy fuerte y disfrutó contando historias de la presencia de Dios, desde su infancia hasta el final de su vida aquí en la Tierra. Sus hijos fueron muy importantes para ella,esto fue una evidencia de los muchos sacrificios que hizo por el bien de sus hijos. Era obediente a nuestro Padre Celestial al establecer los cimientos del amor y la presencia de Dios en sus vidas. Animó a muchos a buscar a Dios en todo y a darle siempre alabanza y gracias en cada situación. Ella oró por todos los necesitados sin cesar.

Ella conocía y se preocupaba por los pasatiempos, las comidas, el interés, que eran favoritos de la gente que la rodeaba. Ella se deleitaba en celebrar los cumpleaños cocinando las comidas favoritas del celebrante, especialmente sus hijos. Sus hermanos, amigos y la comunidad de la iglesia también fueron muy importantes para ella. A lo largo de los años, ella cultivó un hermoso jardín. Ella esperaba vender todas las variedades de flores y plantas en el bazar anual de la iglesia y todos los ingresos eran donados a la iglesia. Ella fue una persona muy generosa y alegre, dadora de su amor, talentos, tiempo y ganancias financieras. Ella sabía que sus tesoros estaban en el cielo.

María Guadalupe también disfrutó cantando y siempre parecía tener letras para cada ocasión. Ella cantaba en su jardín diciendo que las flores se mejoraban al escucharla. Ella cantó alegremente y oró antes de su partida de la Tierra. Declaró que confiaba en el plan del Señor para ella. Su fuerte fe le permitió entrar pacíficamente a la presencia de Dios.

María Guadalupe será extrañada por muchos. Su actitud optimista a pesar de las luchas de la vida fue muy inspiradora para muchos.
