Marie Juarez, 83, daughter of the late Manuel Ramirez Jr and Refugia Ramirez was born August 11, 1939 in Waelder, Texas passed away on June 9, 2023. She is predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Gregory Larry Juarez, Jr., her daughter Theresa Juarez Baucum, son-in-law Phillip Baucum, her brother and sister-in-law Albert and Petra Ramirez, brother-in-law Melvin Smith, and two nephews Steven Ramirez and Allen Rene Ramirez.
Marie is survived by her son Larry Wayne Juarez (Elizabeth), her siblings Herminia Salinas (Charles), Victor Ramirez (Irene), Sister Guadalupe Ramirez, Petra Smith, Odelia Basquez (Albert), John Manuel Ramirez (Toni), Dominga R. Lopez (Alfonso Lopez-Vasquez), Alfred Ramirez (Jessie), Michael Ramirez (Isabel), Daniel Thomas Ramirez (Maria), and honorary sibling Dahlia Meza. She is further survived by four grandchildren Brittany Michelle Theiler (Michael), Bailey Kathleen Crawford (Chase), Carter Wayne Juarez (Presleigh Koen), Carson Gregory Juarez (Baylie), Peyton L. Zickefoose and Sarah M. Zickefoose, six (6) great-grandchildren, fifteen (15) nieces, eight (8) nephews and numerous great-nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Marie was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Baytown Texas. She was a member of the Guadelupana Society, the Sacred Heart Society and was a Minister of Pastoral Accompaniment to the sick, bereaved and their families. She also taught catechism for over 40 years. She retired from Goose Creek CISD after close to 30 years of service.
The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Baytown Texas. Father Jesus Lizalde presiding. The burial will immediately follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, Baytown, Texas. A vigil with rosary for Marie Juarez will be recited at 6 p.m. during the visitation.
Pallbearers are Carter Juarez, Carson Juarez, Ray Ramirez, John Manuel Ramirez, David Garcia, James Ramirez, Jesse Ramirez and Chase Crawford. Honorary Pallbearer is Michael Theiler.
