Marietta Lois Holmes Doughty

Marietta Lois Holmes Doughty, 83, of Channelview, was born March 28, 1929 in Ponca City, OK and died Friday, January 18, 2013. She was married for 50 years to Andrew (Bud) Henry Doughty, Sr. She loved to sew, crochet, garden and read.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Charles (Mickey) Clinton Doughty and Andrew (Andy) Henry Doughty, Jr.; parents, Clinton and Lois Holmes; and 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and a great granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Aubrey Willingham of Lufkin, Janet and T. L. Butler of Channelview, Dolly and Jimmy Stanaland of Lufkin, and Sandra Flack of Channelview; sister, Shirley Holmes Stone of Tulsa, OK; and 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Mr. David Sullivan, friend of the family, officiating. Family graveside services will take place later at the Houston National Cemetery.
