He is survived by his devoted wife Gloria Valdez Garcia, daughter, Sarah Herlinda Garcia (Jaime), son, Robert Perez, daughter, Rebecca Creagh, Grandchildren, Mia and Matthew Creagh, mother, Martina Garcia, brothers, Felipe (Maria),Feliciano (Maria), Manuel, Jose Ruperto, Vicente (Betzabel), and Gregorio Garcia, sisters, Maria del Soccoro (Matthew) Nocente, Maria de Jesus (Jose Luis) Cantu, Benigna (Esteban) Aranda, Dolores (Jorge) Lopez, Sara Garcia, Margarita (Eloy) Guerra, Anita (Alejandro) Benavides, Cecilia (Roberto) Ortiz, Patricia (Hector) Medina. Predeceased by his father Ruperto Garcia, Grandmother San Juana Garcia,sisters, Alma Leticia and San Juana brother, Federico Garcia. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews, extended family and many good friends.
Mr. Garcia worked at Wismer (Beer) Distributing Co. as a Diesel Mechanic for many years. He was an avid Houston Astros fan and took extreme pride in his two Grandchildren, their Popo was loved and will be missed by many. This Loving and Caring man has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts. Martin will be supremely missed by the Valdez family whom thought of him as one of their own. Although our hearts are heavy we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in Heaven watching over us.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., with the Rosary to follow and begin at 7 p.m., on Friday, February 8, 2019, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Church, 411 Milam St., Liberty, Texas 77575. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park, 2421 TX- 146, Dayton, Texas 77535.
