Mary Ann Beltz

Mary Ann graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1951 and was a 1955 graduate of Sam Houston State University. She was a Kindergarten Teacher for Goose Creek at San Jacinto Elementary and Travis Elementary.

Mary Ann was an active member at St. Mark's Methodist Church. She participated in Church Circle; served as a Sunday School teacher for 2 year olds and was a nursery worker for 20 years. She was also a member of Fidelis Sunday School Class at First Methodist Church, Houston.

In addition to her active participation in church groups, Mary Ann was a member of many civic and social groups such as the Lakewood Garden Club; Baytown Home Economics Club; Woman's Club of Baytown; Baytown Nature Center; Baytown Area Retired School Association; Alpha Delta Kappa Silver Sister; and volunteer at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital and named an Unsung Hero in 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Olney Beltz. She is survived by her two sons, Keith Beltz and Gary Beltz; grandson, Hunter Beltz; and sister, Louise Maxwell.

A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Methodist Church, 3811 N Main St, Baytown, Texas 77521 with funeral service to begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, Texas 77023.
