Mary Jo Budd was born November 20 1928 in Nacogdoches, TX. She had just made her 90th birthday when she passed away peacefully on Friday December the 14th at home in Kerrville TX. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 20th at 12 noon at Navarre Funeral Home 2444, Rollingbrook Dr. Baytown TX with Pastor Larry Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale 6900, Lawndale Houston TX Visitation will be Wednesday 12-19 at 4-5 pm family and 5-7 pm for loved ones and friends at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown.
Mary Jo was born on November 20th 1928 to the late Joe and Mary Elizabeth Lilly. Mary Jo was united in marriage to the late John Adam Budd for 60 years before he passed away. She graduated Robert E. Lee HS Baytown TX and was a proud member of the Gander Brigadiers. She attended Central Baptist Church In Baytown. The majority of her working career was with Pasadena Savings and Loan as a Branch Manager. Mary Jo loved being a Grandmother to her one and only precious grandson Jacob Tyler Budd. She also loved her cats and her Ya Ya sisterhood of friends. A special group of friends who got together once a month for years. Some of those friendships going all the way back to second grade, like Patsey Sharp.
Mary Jo is survived by her son Mark Steven Budd his wife Susie Budd of Kerrville TX her grandson Jacob Tyler Budd of League City TX. Nieces Judy Thiele, Lizzie Pistole, Barbara Holton, and nephews Gary and Kenny Lannou and all of their families. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Mary Elizabeth Lilly, her sister’s Joyce Lannou and Martha Ruth Lilly. Also their brother Haskell Lilly.
