Mary Elizabeth Collier

September 17, 1963September 27, 2019

Mary Elizabeth Collier, born: September 17th, 1963, was called to be with the Lord September 27, 2019. She was born in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, but made her home in Texas where she met and married the love of her life, Lenox Collier. She was known by many names: Elizabeth, Liz, Dear, Mom, and (most importantly in her eyes) Grammy. She had a love for all people, especially children and animals. Which is why she spent the bulk of her working life employed at a pet hospital, and then a school. She had the unique ability to light up any room she entered. Not only with her wild hair color, but her beaming smile and vivacious personality. She loved everyone she met and they all felt the same way after spending mere minutes in her presence. She was wildly supportive of her family and friends. Encouraging everyone to chase after their dreams, no matter how crazy or out of reach they seemed to the rest of the world. This optimism came from her not only overcoming her physical limitations on a daily basis, but far surpassing them. She was a true inspiration that anyone can over come anything with some faith, hard work, and a little bit of stubbornness. She had a deep love and passion for God, George Michael, her family, science, and the Muppets (in that order). Her regular pastimes often included her grandchildren. She loved being with them. Doing science experiments, make-up videos, making slime, or just sitting around watching youtube videos together. Her love for them was endless. I could go on for hours describing her and still wouldn't come close to scratching the surface of how amazing this woman is or the impression she left on the hearts of anyone who had the true honor to be a part of her world. She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Cheney Felscher the 2nd. Her sister, Laney Barnes nephew, Gage Barnes and her step-father, Eugene Sims. She leaves behind her husband, best friend, and soul mate of nearly 33 years, Lenox Collier. Her three children, Thomas (wife, Tiffany), Tera, and Cheney Collier. Her three grandchildren, Logan Maynard, Kennedy Grace, and Lily Grace Collier; Her mother, Clara Sims; brothers, Walter Felscher and Mike Hennessee (wife, Annie); sisters, Kelli Sims Calder, Jackie Louise Summers and Cherre Simmons. Her numerous "adopted children". And a multitude of friends and loved ones.

Services will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home. 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX, 77521 on October 5th, 2019 from 5pm-8pm, and October 6th, 2019 at 3pm, under the direction of Kendrek Herron.

Elizabeth's favorite saying was an acronym. F.R.O.G. : Fully Rely On God. In this very trying and confusing time, I know she'd want us to heed those words.

Being her big brother I have way to many memories thru our life growing up.I love my baby sister and miss her very much now.Yes as children like most brothers and sisters we fought over silly things but as adults I saw a side of my sister I didn't see when we were younger . Even before the different colored hair phase of her life she could liven up any dull party with her personality. I love my family Thomas, Cheney, Tera and Len I love all of you.Your in my prayers and as a family we have Gods promise we will see her again.

She was and will be forever a wonderful soul, everytime I went to her house she will make me feel so welcome, I can't thank her enough for all the times she took care of Mia, for all the kind words and all the laughter, for those cards against humanity game nights, all those books meetings, all the wine sharing, and for every single one of the wonderful memories that I will forever be grateful for. You are now without a doubt one of the brightest stars in our sky....Love you bunches

Loved going to the house to spend time with the family. It was always great fun. She always made me watch home movies. I pretended to hate it but it was really one of my favorite things to do. She was always so proud of her family and it showed. I will always remember the times I shared with her from home movies to nights at the comedy club. I hold each of these memories very dear to my heart. I had the pleasure of having Elizabeh as one of my best friends for 28 years and she will truly be missed. We experienced a lot through those years through the good and bad she was always there. Love you Liz you left me to soon.

Elizabeth was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She always had a smile and was always happy and she never let her handicap slow her down. I will be praying for all of the family, as I know the void her passing leaves will be painful. We love you all!

I would always tell Elizabeth, how friendly she was because she was always waving at everyone. Her handicap was never a handicap to her, she will be remembered as a loving sister-in-law that always had a smile for everyone. No more handicaps, you are now a perfect angel!!!

My dear sweet friend, I remember the day we met perfectly! Your smile made me feel so welcomed by you and you said I could call you Elizabeth or Grammy which I loved. Getting to know you was so easy and fun, I loved our little lunch dates with Whataburger! But most importantly I loved how you loved Jaye, you embraced him for all he’s worth. You encouraged his energy and showed him a love for science that he still has to this day! I will miss my dear friend so much and I am extremely upset with myself that I never got around to bringing Emery to meet you. But I know you’ll be blessing her from above just like the rest of us! As much as we all would have prefer you to be here with us God has selected the most amazing, loving, and gracious person to be an angel by his side. I’ll miss our conversation, your funny messages on Facebook, your beautiful smile and most of all your loving heart! May you rest blissfully Grammy, I love you!
