

She spent her formative years in Abbeville, Louisiana, and graduated from James Herod High School. She later moved to Houston, Texas and attended Massey Business School. Mary worked for Foley’s Travel Agency for many years and retired from the City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department.
Mary married Harold Robinson and together they raised four children: Cleveland, Philip, Charles, and Tracey.
Mary later married John Edwards and together they raised his daughter Dememtia (DeeDee) and her son Bryston.
Mary was always known to have a pot on the stove, whether it was dinner or deboned chicken for her beloved dogs. You were always welcome to a meal at her home. Mary was also known for her famous potato salad. She was asked to bring it to every outing and special gathering.
Mary was preceded by her parents, Florence Parker and LeVert Trahan; son, Charles Robinson; and infant granddaughter, Megan Robinson; and her sisters, Stella Jackson and Lillie Harris.
She is survived by her brothers, Lloyd Joiner (Shirley) and Roy Harris; sisters, Marilyn Wright (Morris) and Verna Dean Summers (Marvin); grandchildren: Tavia, Britney, Kyle, Tavoris, Shaun, Eric, Holly, Kalix, Logan, Bryston, Taylor, Trinity, Jordon, and Sophia; great-grandchildren: Rylee, Emma, Skylar, Michael III, Gavin, DeShaun, JoShaun, and Ava.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Navarre Funeral Home on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am with funeral services to begin at 11:30 am.
