

Mary Alleen Farrell, 75, of Houston, TX, passed away Monday night, July 27, 2015, after becoming ill. She and her twin sister, Illeen, were born in Alexandria, LA, on June 25, 1940. The family moved to Baytown in 1952. Alleen graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1958, and she graduated from Durham Business College in 1959. Over the years, she was employed by Zapata Oil, Baker Oil and Tool, Texaco Offices; she was also a teller in a Lufkin bank and she worked at a Wal-Mart pharmacy.
Alleen had an exceptional “green thumb”; she loved growing plants, she was an avid, self-taught painter, she loved to crochet, shop and enjoyed family gatherings. She was raised in the Baptist faith, and she read the Bible religiously. She loved Christmas and was a very caring and giving person. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Wallace Farrell and Lavenia (Poole) Farrell.
She is survived by her daughter, Jana and husband Craig Sienerth and grandson, Landon Sienerth, all of Houston; twin sister, Illeen and husband Jimmy Norton of Baytown; brothers, George Wayne and wife Marian of Baytown, and Lynn and wife Elaine of Broaddus, TX; sister-in-law, Julie Farrell of Baytown; nieces and spouses, Pam and Russell Wilson, Debra and John Spurgeon and Jessica Farrell, as well as numerous great nephews, nieces and cousins.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX, 77521.
