Mary Katherine Wood Mills

Mary Katherine Wood Mills, 78, of Highlands, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in Baytown. She was born July 25, 1936 in Eunice, New Mexico to her late parents, Virgil Henry Wood and Vivaleen Crain Wood.

Mrs. Mills was a longtime resident of Channelview before moving to Highlands in 2004. She enjoyed her casino trips to Louisiana and her trips to Wal-Mart. Her favorite times were spent in the company of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Wiley E. ""Sonny"" Mills, Sr.; brothers, Lester Don Wood, Jerry Reed Wood and Virgil Ray Wood; sister, Delores Marie Hogue; granddaughter, Jackie Leigh Mills Snodgrass and grandsons, Colby Wayne Peters and Richard Wayne Story.

Survivors include children, Wiley E. Mills, Jr. and wife Debbie, Kathy Mills Holman and husband Larry, Jerry Lon Mills and wife Rebecca, Donna Mills Watkins and husband Steve and Vickie Ranea Mills Peters; brothers, Chester Lon Wood and wife Joy, and William C. ""Billy"" Hogue; grandchildren, LaShonna Story, Sonny Ray Mills and wife Faith, Crystal Gaudet and husband Derrick, Charity Adams and husband Chris, Missy Elledge and husband Cody, Bryan Mills, Sr. and wife Emmalee, Craig Lucas and wife Brittney, Mikah Watkins and wife Courtney, Jenna Watkins and fiancé Jeremy Dean, Tammi Cortney and husband Casey, Claya Willis and husband Cory, Kevin Peters, Kelton Peters and Lane Holman; great-grandchildren, Justus, Staesha, Graison, Annabeth, Samantha, Bailey, Avery, Luke, Kimber, Caleb, Cayse, Logan, Kelsey, Bryan, Jr., Dylan, Madison, Conner, Rhody, Railey, Brooke and Breezeleigh and Numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Bo Rosser officiating. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Reedy and Charlie Alexander.
