Mary Ann was known by many for her amazing lemon bundt cakes and special dishes she made for friends. She made the most beautifully crocheted baby blankets and burp clothes. Almost every one of her 28 nieces and nephews made a stop by her house as a newborn, on the way home from the hospital. Aunt Mary Ann had to love and cuddle each new niece and nephew and quite a few great nieces and nephews.
Along with her other 9 sisters and 1 brother, she will also be known for helping her family grow watermelons, mostly in the Liberty, Texas area.
Mary Ann worked many years as a “car hop” at the Pig Stand in Beaumont and also at Howard Johnson’s as a waitress, sometimes working the two jobs together. Later she would work at Tidelands General Hospital in Channelview as an Admissions Clerk.
