

Madalene graduated Valedictorian from Omaha High School in 1933. She played the piano or organ in several churches for 55 years, including 26-1/2 years as organist at Second Baptist Church in Baytown and she also taught piano.
She was often sought after to play for weddings. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a Gideon auxiliary member. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron in 1957-58.
She was employed at Town & Country for a number of years and was division manager at Sears where she retired in 1981.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by husband, Barney Webber, son Rod Harmon, Sr. and wife, Carole of Baytown, daughter Glenda Carole Johnson and husband, Gordon of Flynn, Texas. Grandchildren are: Linda and Michael Saunders of Carrollton, Texas; Nancy and Tony Frazier of Livingston, Texas and Rod Harmon, Jr. of LaPorte, Texas. Three great-grandchildren Clint, Shane and Shanna. In her extended family are Chuck and Liz Webber of Abilene, Jeffrey and Debbie Webber of Reston, VA, Ginie Webber of Austin, Ben Webber of Yellowknife, Canada, Will and Mindy Webber of Wimberley, Texas.
She loved her travels to Niagara Falls, Alaska, Hawaii and Europe. She was a great cook. Her unmatched specialty was asparagus casserole which was always requested at family socials.
The family wants to express their appreciation to Remington Park staff for all their help and support.
Visitation with family and friends is on Sunday from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Navarre Funeral Home. The funeral service is on Monday at 10:00a.m. at the funeral home.
